I was browsing our picture folder when I rediscovered several beautiful beaches we fell in love with. There are many wonderful beaches around the world but rare are the secluded ones. As we like you, we’d like to share a few of those places. Here are 7 of our favourite beaches away from the crowd. Add them quickly to your bucket list before they change.
- Menjengan island, Bali
The Menjengan island is located north-west of Bali. It’s a perfect place for snorkelling or diving. You’ll find a wonderful underwater world.
- Playa del Pilon, La Guajira, Colombia
Cabo de la Vela, in la Guajira peninsula, is a less visited area. After long hours on a 4×4 on rocky roads, roads bordered by cactuses, and sandy roads, the landscape suddenly changes to give place to a clear blue water surrounded by ochre or white rocks.
- Cabo Matapalo, Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica
Cabo Matapalo is located close to the Corcovado National Park, in the Osa Peninsula. The peninsula is less touristy and is mainly known by surfers and nature lovers. The fauna and flora make it a little paradise. On the beach, you can hear howler monkeys, parrots, toucans…
- Cayo Jutias, Cuba
Cayo Jutias is a 4km long beach close to Viñales. It’s an island accessible through a road built over the sea.
- Maré, New Caledonia
Maré is a wild beauty, with its caves, cliffs, forest, beautiful beaches… And being less visited makes it even more attractive.
- Atiu, Cook Islands
Atiu is covered by a tropical forest, surrounded by a lagoon and known for its famous caves. The hidden beaches of Atiu are deserted and are only waiting for you.
- Tonsai, Thailand
Tonsai is a magical place, only accessible by boat, and perfect for travellers on a shoestring. The jungle-covered limestone cliffs make it a great spot for climbers.
How about you, what is your favourite beach?
